
Candidates and Registration
The forum will feature incumbent Democrat Lakisha Collins-Bellamy and challenger Dean T. Politopoulos, who is running on both the Republican and Conservative party lines.
Residents can watch the forum live by registering at https://bit.ly/YonkersCCPres. A recording will eventually be available on the League of Women Voters Rivertowns’ YouTube channel, website, and Facebook page.
How to Submit Questions
The forum will not include live audience participation, but residents are encouraged to submit questions ahead of time. Questions can be submitted:
- During the webinar’s Zoom registration process
- By emailing info@lwv-rivertowns.org
Deadline is Sunday, October 19th at 9:00 a.m.
Before the forum begins, a League committee will review all submitted questions and forward them to the moderator.
Accessibility Features
The League is partnering with Disability Rights New York to provide live American Sign Language interpretation at the forum. The recorded YouTube version will have closed captioning and translation options in multiple languages.
About the League of Women Voters
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government. It aims to raise awareness of major public policy issues and influence policy through education and advocacy.
The League neither supports nor opposes any candidates or political parties, and membership is open to individuals aged 16 and above.
