The deadline is coming for registered voters wishing to change their party enrollment for the upcoming 2026 primaries. The last day to make a change through the Department of Motor Vehicles is Friday, February 13th, before 2 pm. After that, all DMV offices will be closed until Wednesday, February 18th, for a system update. Voters will be able to change their party enrollment through the Board of Elections’ Online Voter Registration Portal until February 14th.
New York State Primaries on June 23rd, 2026, will determine which candidates will run for the state offices on November 3rd General Election.
New voters must register to vote in a primary no later than June 13th.Â
