HANDS ALONG WARBURTON from 12PM to 2PM
As the above picture indicates, on Flag Day, Saturday, June 14, residents of Yonkers and adjoining communities in Westchester will be joining a nationwide protest to register their displeasure with the Trump Administration’s dismantling the Government and rewarding tax cuts for the extra-wealthy while eliminating or reducing programs that poor and working class Americans depend upon.
They will be joining 1800 other communities across the United Stats whose residents also wish to make their feelings known. The goal of this demonstration is to create a show of united strength, highlighting the importance of the “We the People” in the United States Constitution.
Attendees are asked to assemble at the intersection of Warburton and Odell Avenues in Yonkers. The crowd will spread North and South of Odell, on Warburton, as needed.
Although there are a few benches along Warburton Avenue, since this is not a protest march, the sponsors suggest residents might want to bring a folding chair if standing is difficult. In addition, they also suggest you bring an American flag, a protest sign, or just yourself.
